Today, we shine the spotlight on one of the determined and inspiring students at MUST, Patience Zamar Phiri, the newly elected president of the MUST Students' Representative Council (SRC).

Patience is a fourth-year Bachelor of Engineering in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering (Hons) student, and his win came after securing the highest number of votes, among his fellow candidates, which represents the confidence placed by the MUST students in his ability to lead.

Some notable factors that contributed to Patience elected into this post included a well-crafted campaign manifesto that centred on collaboration, progress, and student welfare.

He promised to work hand in hand with the university administration, stakeholders, and all students to create a more conducive, affordable, and progressive environment for every student at MUST.

Patience vows to lead with action, vision, discipline and a solutions-oriented approach that will bring positive impact to the lives of students.

As per his own words: "Leadership should never involve making promises, but rather, creating positive impacts through actions, vision, and service".

As he begins this new journey of service and leadership, the MUST community looks forward to seeing his vision transformed into meaningful action and lasting impact.

Congratulations Patience.
