Staff Organizations work together to offer individuals the opportunity to become more involved in campus life. Many of these groups are identity-based organizations that celebrate the diversity of our staff members, while also offering a safe space on campus to share and learn about each other. We encourage staff to be involved in many of these organizations as they are a great way to meet new colleagues outside of your division, find mentors/mentees, learn new skills, and develop leadership skills. The MUST Social Welfare Club is the largest staff organization as it represents all MUST staff.
The Social Welfare Club
The MUST Social Welfare Club is currently the main staff welfare organization responsible for social welfare matters of staff of the Malawi University of Science and Technology, such as bereavement, births, weddings and other social events. Every member of the club contributes a small monthly membership fee towards the social welfare fund.
