The Director of Research and Postgraduate Studies oversees the implementation of the University’s research agenda as outlined in the policy documents and the smooth running of the University’s postgraduate programmes. The office of the Director of Research and Postgraduate Studies is responsible for:
- Coordinating research activities undertaken by University members of staff, research fellows and associates under various collaborative arrangements.
- Ensuring proper documentation and dissemination of publications.
- Management and quality assurance of postgraduate programmes at the University.
In carrying out these responsibilities, the Director works hand in hand with departments, schools, the University Registrar and the Vice Chancellor.
The current Director of Research and Postgraduate Studies is Dr. Alfred Maluwa.
